Terms of use
Who we are
Culvo is provided by Onemarsmedia Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 16127972, VAT number GB 519 7870 47), registered office 196 Ash Grove, Hounslow, England, TW5 9DT. Contact us at hello@culvo.app.
The basics
These terms, together with Apple's standard licence agreement for App Store apps (linked below), apply when you use Culvo. If they conflict, Apple's agreement wins on matters it covers. Please read them; they're short.
Your photos, your call
Culvo helps you decide what to keep and what to delete, but you make every decision, and iOS asks you to confirm before anything is deleted. Deleted photos stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days. Please check before you confirm. Culvo's best-shot picks are suggestions made automatically on your iPhone and may not match your taste.
Free plan
Swiping, keeping, tossing and deleting are free, with no daily limit. Levels and achievements are free too.
Culvo Pro
Culvo Pro adds Biggest first (free users can try the first 10 cards), Similar (best of the burst: bursts and lookalike photos) and Ready to post. It's available as an annual subscription (£24.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers) or a monthly subscription (£4.99 a month). UK prices include VAT. Prices in other countries are set in local currency and always shown by Apple before you buy. There is no weekly plan and there are no other fees.
Payment, renewal and cancelling
Apple takes payment from your Apple ID when you confirm, or when the free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Culvo; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. If you cancel during the free trial, you won't be charged. If we ever change the price, Apple will tell you in advance and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
Refunds and your legal rights
Payments are processed by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple. See our cancellations and refunds page. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. Under UK law, digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality; if it isn't, you're entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.
Fair use
Please don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer or interfere with the app, or use it for anything unlawful.
Ownership
Your photos are yours; we never get any rights in them. The Culvo name, logo, app and its design belong to Onemarsmedia Limited.
Changes to Culvo
We may update Culvo to improve it or fix problems. If we make a change that takes away a paid feature you rely on, we'll tell you first and you can cancel; where the law requires, you'll get a refund for the unused part of your subscription.
Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we're responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. We're not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable, for business losses (Culvo is for personal use), or for photos you choose to delete after confirming. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your local courts. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer laws. If something goes wrong, email us first and we'll try to sort it out.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date below, and tell you in the app if the change is important.
